USB Desk Vacuum ($20): whateverworks.com & Boynq D’light USB Light ($8):  x-tremegeek.com

USB VacuumBoynq D'light USB Light There are more traditional ways to keep a workplace clean and bright, but none this stylish. These USB-powered conversation pieces transcend kitsch thanks to one key fact: they’re actually functional—at least as much, if not more so, than that Ouija Board mouse pad. The USB Desk Vacuum, while standing only 8” high, is an actual working vacuum cleaner that plugs directly into your USB port. Its adjustable handle lets it go from upright to almost flat while its 45” cord allows you to maneuver it away from your computer and suck up all the dust and crumbs in sight. To complete the motif, pick up the Boynq D’light USB Light, which sports a similarly retro design. The USB light features an orange shade and a flexible 12” gooseneck. In addition to providing a more ambient mood than a glaring laptop screen, the lamp is ideal for all-night plane rides as an alternative to overhead lights that can shine in a neighbor’s eyes. It will also help reveal any crumbs the vacuum might have missed.
